KEVIN HEAD JOINS THE NORTHEASTERN JUDICIAL CIRCUIT AS JUDICIAL ACCOUNTABILITY DIVISION DIRECTOR
The Northeastern Judicial Circuit, comprised of Hall and Dawson counties, has named Kevin Head its new Judicial Accountability Division Director. Head joins the court system with a long and dedicated career in public service. He began his career with the Hall County Sheriffs Office in 1987. He assisted with the establishment of Hall County's Misdemeanor Probation Office in 2012, returning to the sheriffs office later that year to join then-newly elected Sheriff Gerald Couch as Administrative Bureau Head and later Chief Deputy.
"Kevin Head is an accomplished and deeply respected law enforcement executive with a wealth of experience and leadership," states Court Administrator Jason Stephenson. "We' re fortunate to have him join us in the judicial circuit. We are confident he will bring the same dedication and professionalism to this new role that we have seen throughout his career."
As Division Director, Head will serve in the office of Court Administration and provide administrative oversight of the circuit's Pre-Trial Release offices, Misdemeanor Probation offices, and the largest Treatment Services agency in the state of Georgia. While their respective directors lead the day-today operations for the 84 full-time employees in the three departments, the Division Director will provide strategic planning, operations support, and enhanced program effectiveness for the 5,000 current defendants, participants, and probationers being served or supervised across the circuit.
Kevin Head assumes his new role as Judicial Accountability Division Director on October 19, 2026.
